Basement Cleanouts in
Marietta & East Cobb
East Cobb is built on hills, and those hills gave nearly every home a full daylight basement — which, in the big 1980s-through-2000s subdivisions, means a full basement's worth of decades of storage. We clear it out: furniture, appliances, gym equipment, and the stacked-to-the-joists boxes, all carried up the stairs and loaded from the home, long driveway and HOA rules handled. Flat truck-fill pricing from $241, and no Georgia sales tax on the service.
Full daylight basements are the East Cobb job
Drive through the East Cobb subdivisions off Johnson Ferry and Roswell Road and you'll notice the terrain does the same thing everywhere: the lots slope, and the large 1980s–2000s homes were built with full, often finished, daylight basements to match. It's one of the real differences between North-metro Atlanta and the flat coastal metros — here, the basement is where a family's overflow lands, and after twenty or thirty years it's a genuinely big clear: the old sectional and media console, a treadmill and a home gym, a dead second fridge, workshop leftovers, and boxes packed to the joists. This is a carry-up-the-stairs job, and often a full truck or more, which is exactly what we're built for.
The people calling are usually downsizing empty-nesters finally tackling the house before a move or a sale, and the basement is the part they've been putting off. Send a photo, get a flat truck-fill number, and we carry it all up and out — you don't drag a thing up to the garage first.
What we clear out of an East Cobb basement
- Old furniture — the basement den's sectionals, dressers, media centers, and the "someday" pieces that never moved back up.
- Appliances — basement and garage fridges, chest freezers, washers, dryers, and water heaters, freon recovered and documented.
- Exercise equipment — treadmills, ellipticals, weight sets, and full home gyms, broken down and carried up.
- Workshop & storage — tools, shelving, paint, and decades of stacked bins and boxes.
- Garage combo — the attached garage cleared in the same visit, all under one flat price.
How much does a basement cleanout cost in Marietta & East Cobb?
Basement clears are priced as truck-fill and photo-quoted — the labor, the stair carry-out, and disposal are already in the number, and the big East Cobb basements often run a full truck or more. Single big items have their own flat prices too. Georgia doesn't tax the service, so nothing is added at the end.
| Job / item | Flat price |
|---|---|
| Truck-fill — quarter | $241 |
| Truck-fill — half | $431 |
| Truck-fill — three-quarter | $587 |
| Truck-fill — full | $732 |
| Refrigerator (freon recovered) | $164 |
| Washer or dryer | $128–$133 |
| Home gym | $241 |
| Treadmill | $115 |
$75 minimum. Stair carry-out and disposal included — no surcharge for a basement or a long driveway. No Georgia sales tax on the service — the flat quote is the total. Bigger than a full truck? Send one photo and we'll scope the whole job.
Long driveways, HOA rules, and why the city can't help
East Cobb is subdivision country — long driveways and HOA communities where leaving a basement's worth of bulk at the curb isn't allowed and isn't practical. That's also why the City of Atlanta's residential bulk program is no help out here: it's a City of Atlanta service to begin with, and even where a curbside municipal program exists it's built for a couple of set-out items on a scheduled day, not the volume of a full daylight basement. We do it the way these neighborhoods need — everything is loaded straight from the basement and garage, down the long driveway to our truck, on a scheduled flat-price pickup, so nothing sits at the street and there's nothing for the HOA to flag.
What happens to what we haul out
A full-basement clear turns up a lot that's still usable, and metro Atlanta's low disposal cost means diverting it is a values call, not a margin one. Usable furniture and goods go to Goodwill of North Georgia, the Furniture Bank of Metro Atlanta, and Habitat for Humanity ReStore; appliances have their freon recovered by an EPA-certified process and the metal is recycled; and only the true remainder is disposed of at the nearest Cobb County facility. Disposal is already baked into your flat price — no separate dump fee.
What Marietta & East Cobb homeowners say
"Thirty years in an East Cobb daylight basement — it was a full truck and then some. They carried all of it up the stairs, cleared the garage, hauled the old fridge with the freon documented. Flat price, no tax, done in an afternoon."
"Downsizing before we sold the Marietta house and the basement was the wall we'd been avoiding. Photo quote, flat truck price, loaded straight down the driveway — nothing left at the curb for the HOA. Wish we'd called years ago."
"Whole finished basement plus a home gym and a treadmill. They broke it all down and carried it up, donated the good stuff with paperwork. Fair flat price for a big job and a tax-free total. Great crew."

Yes — it's the signature East Cobb job. Our crew carries decades of storage up the basement stairs and out; you don't stage anything in the garage or driveway first.
Do you handle long driveways and HOA staging?
Yes — we load straight from the basement and garage down the driveway to our truck, so nothing sits at the curb and there's nothing for the HOA to flag.
Can you take appliances and clear the garage too?
Yes — old fridge, freezer, washer, dryer, and water heater (freon recovered on refrigerant units) plus the garage, all in the same visit and one flat truck-fill price.
What happens to what you take?
Usable goods to Goodwill of North Georgia, the Furniture Bank of Metro Atlanta, and Habitat ReStore; appliances recycled with freon recovered; only the remainder disposed of at the nearest Cobb County facility. Disposal is in the flat price.
