Junk Removal West End & AUC

Junk Removal in the
West End & AUC

Two very different jobs share one ZIP here (30310): the twice-a-year move-out at Spelman, Morehouse, and Clark Atlanta — the largest HBCU consortium in the country — and the estate and renovation cleanouts in the West End Historic District's Victorians as the neighborhood trades up. Both get the same thing from us: a flat price quoted off a photo, crews who carry it out from inside, and no Georgia sales tax on the service. Se habla español.

Two engines: AUC move-out and the Victorians

The West End runs on two seasons. The first is student move-out. Dorms across the Atlanta University Center empty in late April, and the bigger wave hits when off-campus leases turn over in late July and early August — apartments along Ralph David Abernathy, Lee Street, and the blocks around Spelman and Morehouse fill up with mattresses, mini-fridges, futons, and the kind of cheap furniture nobody wants to move twice. We work that window hard: whole-room and whole-apartment clears, often same-day, one flat number off a photo.

The second engine is the Historic District itself. The West End's 1890s–1920s Victorians are some of the oldest houses in the city, and as values climb off a long-standing legacy-Black base, we're called for estate cleanouts, downsizing before a sale, and renovation-debris hauls — often decades of belongings out of a single family home. This is a neighborhood where transparency matters, so we quote the whole job up front and never re-price at the curb. The BeltLine's Southside and Westside Trails run right through here, and the reno churn that follows the trail is a steady part of the work.

What we haul in the West End

  • Dorm & apartment move-out — mattresses, mini-fridges, futons, desks, IKEA pieces; a whole room or a whole unit in one flat-priced trip.
  • Historic-Victorian estate cleanouts — full-house clear-outs and downsizing, carried out from inside, donation-routed.
  • Renovation & flip debris — old cabinets, flooring, fixtures, and construction leftovers as the district's homes get updated.
  • Single heavy items — sofas, dressers, appliances hauled from any floor, no curb-drag required.

West End & AUC pricing

Does the City of Atlanta pick up dorm furniture and mattresses?

Not the way move-out actually works. The City of Atlanta's Office of Solid Waste Services does bulky-item pickup by appointment (call 311), but it's scheduled to your regular collection day, single-family curbside only, capped at 12 collections a year, with a $343.10 over-limit fee if you put out more than the allowance. A dorm room, a student apartment, or a stack of mattresses on a lease-end deadline fits none of that — the towers and complexes around the AUC aren't single-family curbside, and "same-day, before the walkthrough" isn't a service the city offers. That gap is exactly our lane: on-demand, multi-item, inside-the-unit, apartment or house, flat-priced.

What West End customers say

★★★★★

"Moved my daughter out of her Spelman dorm the last week of April — mattress, mini-fridge, a futon, boxes. They came same-day, gave me the flat price from a photo before they showed up, and donated the good stuff. No stress in the middle of finals."

— Angela T., West End
★★★★★

"Cleared my mother's Victorian off Oglethorpe before we listed it — a lifetime of furniture, careful with the old floors and the porch. One honest number, nothing added at the end. That mattered to us."

— Marcus H., West End Historic District
★★★★★

"Terminé el contrato de mi apartamento en agosto y quedó lleno de muebles. Vinieron el mismo día, precio fijo por foto, sin impuestos ni sorpresas. Muy recomendados."

— Rosa M., West End
